Hot oiling plays a crucial role in optimizing the performance of a well and related equipment. The pressurized circulation of heated oil or similar fluids down a well-bore and through flow-lines, tubing and casing eliminates heavy organics such as paraffin and other hydrocarbon deposits that create blockages and restrict production. Similarly, hot oilers are used to heat oil storage tanks to melt ice or eliminate water and other soluble waste that can reduce an operator’s revenue at the refinery.
